English Billiards

Modifying Rules

1. The usual rules of English Billiards apply except as modified below. All T140 Events™ must be conducted in accordance with these Modified Rules.

2. The Contest is played until a Player scores 200 points or to 20 minutes – whichever occurs first. Should a Player’s total score be below 200 points, but the Player exceed 200 points in one stroke to finish the game, all scored points are counted and recorded. Each point scored is treated as an Event Point.

3. If Player double baulks himself then the normal rules in relation to double baulks apply.

4. A Player cannot double baulk his Opponent unless his Opponent is ranked two or more Divisions higher. If he does, then no foul occurs, but the incoming Player may play directly at any balls in baulk.

5. A Break Limit of 40 applies. If a Player is on a break below this limit, and scores points in one stroke that take his break over 40 points, all points scored count, but the Player must Hand the Table Over without playing a further shot.

6. If the Player Handing the Table Over has played a losing hazard in the course of his last stroke, this Player's cue ball is respotted on the centre spot of the table (Blue spot in Snooker).

7. There is no limitation on the number of hazards a Player can score within the 40 point Break Limit.
