6 Red Snooker

Modifying Rules

  1. The usual rules of Snooker in the 6 Red format apply except as modified below. All T140 Events™ must be conducted in accordance with these Modifying Rules and with T140’s General Rules.
  2. The Contest is played to the end of two frames or to 20 minutes – whichever occurs first. Each point scored is treated as an Event Point. You simply record the total points scored in the frame/s played.
  3. If a foul occurs there are no points awarded but the Opponent has “ball in hand” and can place the cue ball anywhere on the table.
  4. The miss rule does not apply.
  5. Players must always play a ball on.
  6. Should a Player play a shot but foul another ball at the same time and move it, the Opponent has ball in hand and in addition the option of replacing the moved ball to its original position.
  7. In a Round where the two Players are two or more Divisions apart, the higher ranked Player cannot directly snooker his Opponent behind the ball being played. If he does, it is a foul with the incoming Player having ball in hand.
  8. A Break Limit of 40 applies. If a Player is on a break below 40 and pots another ball which takes his break to 40 or greater, all points scored count, but he must Hand the Table Over to his Opponent without playing a further shot.
